Often once you have handed your money over you will be given a generic 'template' website that isn't customised to your needs and doesn't fulfil many of your requirements.
It is at this stage that you may discover that your developer is unwilling to do further work, may charge extortionate amounts of money for small amounts of work or may just be incapable of providing the service levels that you and your business require.

Your business is growing too fast.

Often web based businesses become very successful in a very short time.
Your original website may have been designed for a limited amount of products, a limited amount of customers and a limited amount of automation.

You may now find yourself sinking under the weight of all the manual order processing and correspondence that this growth entails.

Web Inspection Service

If you are unsure of what you need then we can offer an analysis service at various levels:

External user inspection:
We don't need access to any of your passwords, server or programs. We inspect your website as one of your customers would see it, except that we methodically inspect every aspect of your publically available site.
We report, amongst other things, broken hyperlinks, spelling errors, error messages received, browser failures, navigation problems, accessibility issues, security problems - anything that may cause you to lose business.
If your business accepts payment for services or goods then arrangements can be made to process sample purchases.

Internal systems inspection:
This is suitable for when you know you have problems processing customer data, payments or any other server side information.
We will need access to your administration user names and passwords (you may set up a temporary account if you wish).

Code Inspection:
If you believe that a particular area of your website isn't behaving as you would hope than we are able to inspect the code for you and provide a report as to exactly how the system is working.
This service requires that we have FTP access to your host server area as we will download a safe copy of your website to our own secure analysis server. Here we can inspect your website's behaviour without causing any disruption to your live site.

These services are priced on a project by project basis.
As a guide, an External user inspection can usually be performed on a 10 page website for a cost of £125.
All inspection fees can be discounted from development work resulting from the inspection if the work is commissioned within three months of the report date.

Web Rescue Service

Many developers would say "scrap your current website and buy a new one".
In some circumstances this may be a suitable solution, but sometimes you can't afford to wait for a whole new site to be designed and maybe you don't want to pay the large cost of a whole redesign in one go.
You may feel that your site is fundamentally ok, but requires attention in certain areas.

Often developers give you this advice because it puts money in their pocket and they may not have the skills to work on your original site.
